Tilbury: London International Cruise Terminal transfers

London International Cruise Terminal is at Tilbury on the Essex bank of the Thames, about 30 miles east of central London and the home port of Ambassador Cruise Line. We drive to the terminal from central London, Heathrow, Gatwick, Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire, with a TfL-licensed chauffeur and a fixed fare agreed before you book.

TfL-licensed private hire operator (licence 11588). Fixed fare per vehicle, luggage included, meet and greet, flight tracking and 60 minutes free waiting after landing.

Where we drop you at Tilbury

The terminal is the 1930s riverside building on Ferry Road, separate from the container port; the set-down is directly outside and porters take your cases at the kerb. Despite the name it is not in London, and there is no useful rail link to the terminal door, which is why most passengers arrive by car. From central London the route is the A13, or the A2 and Dartford Crossing from the south.

How the day works

Your driver's name, phone number and registration are sent before you travel. On sailing day we collect you at the time you choose, and we suggest arriving at the terminal inside the check-in window on your cruise documents rather than at opening time, when the queue is longest. At the port the driver takes you to the luggage drop so your cases go straight to the ship, then you walk into check-in with hand luggage only. For disembarkation, give us your ship's arrival time and the driver is waiting when you come through the terminal; the first 60 minutes after the time you give us are free waiting.

The Dartford Crossing charge is included in your fixed fare when the route uses it.

Flying in or out

If you fly into Heathrow or Gatwick first, your driver meets you in arrivals with a name board, tracks the flight, and the fare includes 60 minutes of waiting after landing. After the cruise we can take you straight to the airport, or to London for a night before you fly.
