Where to leave bags at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and the main London stations, what it costs, and when a fixed-fare car with luggage included is the simpler option.
Airport left-luggage desks
Every London airport has a staffed left-luggage desk, usually run by Excess Baggage Company or the airport itself, charging per item per 24 hours. Heathrow's desks are in each terminal (T2, T3, T4, T5), Gatwick's in both North and South terminals, Stansted's in the main terminal, and Luton and London City have smaller desks with shorter hours. Check the official pages below for current prices and opening times before you rely on them, especially over Christmas and New Year when hours change.
London station cloakrooms
King's Cross, St Pancras, Euston, Paddington, Victoria, Waterloo and Liverpool Street all have left-luggage facilities, and app-based networks (shops and hotels that store bags) cover most of central London. They are useful for a few hours between check-out and a late flight.
When a car is easier than storage
If your group has two or more large cases each, a fixed-fare car door to door is often cheaper than storage plus two train tickets, and the driver loads the luggage for you. Our fares below are per vehicle, luggage included, and the 8-seater takes a family's Christmas luggage without a second car.
