ExCeL London stretches for roughly half a mile along the north side of Royal Victoria Dock, with entrances at both the west and east ends. Arrive at the wrong one and a keynote speaker faces a long indoor walk through crowded halls. We confirm which hall, entrance and drop-off area your event is using, then brief the chauffeur so guests are set down as close as the venue's traffic plan permits. On the largest show days, such as World Travel Market or DSEI, that planning matters as much as the drive.

Exhibitors and event organisers book us for the complete week, not just one transfer. A V-Class collects the team and small stand items from Hampshire on build-up day, shuttles staff between hotels and halls, collects speakers from Heathrow or London City and returns everyone home after breakdown. Because the quote is fixed and covers fuel, ULEZ, tunnel charges and waiting, budget holders can sign off the whole programme in one go rather than reconciling dozens of taxi receipts after the show.

The Royal Docks are well served by public transport on paper, with the Elizabeth line and the DLR at Custom House and Prince Regent. In practice, platforms overflow as halls close, delegates with laptop bags and product samples struggle with stairs, and late networking dinners in the City or at Canary Wharf end long after many people would prefer to travel by train. A chauffeur collects from the dinner venue and takes guests back to their hotel or home in Hampshire, without a wait.

Who we drive

Built Around Who's Travelling

Exhibitors and Corporate Teams

Hampshire businesses exhibiting at ExCeL often send a team of four to seven with laptops, literature and small stand items. A V-Class collects everyone in Southampton or Winchester, drives directly to the hall entrance and returns them on the final evening. One fixed quote replaces individual train tickets, Tube fares and taxis, and the team arrives fresh enough to work the stand.

Keynote Speakers and VIPs

Speakers and dignitaries need to arrive on time, at the right entrance and without being swept up in visitor queues. An S-Class or E-Class collects from a central London hotel or the airport, coordinates with your event team on arrival time and stays nearby until the session ends, so a schedule change never leaves your headline guest waiting.

Delegates with Heavy Luggage

International delegates often come straight from the airport to the show with full suitcases. The V-Class carries six to seven large cases, so we can collect a group from Heathrow, drop luggage at the hotel and deliver everyone to registration in one trip. Child seats are available on request for exhibitors travelling with family.

International Visitors

For overseas delegations, the Royal Docks can be confusing. We meet at Heathrow, Gatwick or London City with a name board, track every flight and provide one contact for the week. Daily transfers between hotels in Canary Wharf, Greenwich or the City are fixed in advance, with evening dinners and return flights added to the same booking.

On this routeDirect and door to door with one professional chauffeurTaxi ranks and ride-hailing pickups at ExCeL are swamped when halls close, and a standard minicab cannot carry a team plus stand materials or wait through a long show day.ExCeL is served by the Elizabeth line and DLR at Custom House, with Prince Regent at the east end, but from Hampshire you travel via London Waterloo and change at least once more, and closing-time crowds make the return slow with luggage or display cases.

FAQs

Questions Before You Book

What if a speaker's flight or train is delayed?

We track flights in real time and stay in touch with your event team, so a late arrival at Heathrow or London City is handled without a new booking. 60 minutes of free waiting is included from the actual landing time. For train stations and hotels, a free waiting allowance is included. If a speaker is running late, we tell your organiser immediately.

Can you handle very early build-up days and late closes?

Yes. Build-up can start early in the morning and networking events often run late. We schedule chauffeurs with proper rest and keep the car available as long as you need it. Every fare is fixed before you book: early-morning and late-night journeys have no meter, and any peak-time or holiday surcharge is shown on the booking page before you pay. It is shown in your quote in advance, so there are no extras after the event.

How much exhibition kit can you carry?

The V-Class carries up to seven passengers and six to seven large cases, which covers laptops, brochures, pull-up banners and small display cases. The E-Class and S-Class each take two large cases. For large stand builds, use a freight contractor and let us handle the people. Tell us what you are bringing and we will confirm the best vehicle.

What happens if our event plans change?

Event schedules move constantly, and we are used to working with that. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your pickup. For changes to times, pickup addresses or passenger lists, call 020 8888 9988 or ask your event coordinator to contact us, and we will confirm in writing. Late speaker swaps are common in show week, so we keep each brief flexible until the morning itself.

Which entrance will the chauffeur use at ExCeL?

ExCeL has entrances at the west and east ends, and the right one depends on which halls your event is using. We check the venue's information for your show and confirm the drop-off with you or your organiser. On busy days, the chauffeur will follow the venue's traffic management and get you as close as permitted.

Can you run shuttles between hotels and ExCeL?

Yes. We can schedule V-Class shuttles from hotels in Canary Wharf, the City or Greenwich, with set departure times each morning and evening. This is often more reliable than asking delegates to travel independently, and lets you know when your team will be on the stand.

How long does it take from London City Airport?

London City Airport is about two miles from ExCeL, typically 5 to 15 minutes by car. That makes it ideal for European speakers on tight schedules. We meet them in arrivals, take them directly to the venue and can return them for an afternoon flight on the same day.

Do you cover events for Hampshire exhibitors?

Yes, we are based in Hampshire and regularly take teams from Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke to London exhibitions. Allow about two and a half hours in the morning, more on a weekday peak. We suggest departure times based on your hall opening and stand setup time.
